The deep, dark, royal red color and the delicate unfurling of the nose are only reinforced on the palate when joined by flavors of chocolate covered strawberry, zesty rhubarb and allspice. The gentle finish saunters on the palate, leaving behind flavors of ripe red cherry, cinnamon spice and green peppercorn. This full-bodied Merlot has a crisp acidity coupled with ripe flavors.
Distinguishing aromas of Royal Anne cherry, Malabar black pepper, and fresh pencil shavings morph into flavors that are joined with blackberry compote, chocolate covered hazelnut, and new leather flavors on the palate. The ample tannins linger with notes of plum, red peppercorn, and black tea leaf.
